What lashes are best for me?

There are 3 different types of lashes to choose from. Whatever your preference, Samantha always customizes your look, based on eye shape, lifestyle, personality and age. Lash extensions do require maintenance of a fill every 2-3 weeks.

Classic Lashes

Where one synthetic lash is placed on a natural lash. Whereas it gives the most natural look, it will not look as fluffy as hybrid or volume lashes.

Hybrid Lashes

A 50/50 combo of both classic and volume lashes. Gives lashes a light volume look.

Volume Lashes

Very thin synthetic lashes are gathered and formed into a fan then placed on a natural lash. These give the fullest and a more dramatic look. Mega volume is also available - these are longer and more dense than typical volume lashes.

Lash Lift & Tint

For those wanting a more natural look and less maintenance. Your natural lashes are permed into a semi permanent curl, making your lashes appear longer, and your eyes bigger. They are then tinted black for a more defined look.

Lasts 6-8 weeks.

FAQs

Should I get a lift and tint or lash extensions?

It depends on two things - how you want your lashes to look, and the amount of maintenance you’re willing to do. If you don’t mind the length of your lashes, or want a very natural look - a lash lift would work for you. If you want a little more drama, and fullness and length, then lash extensions are what you’re looking for. As far as upkeep, you have to be able to put aside time to get a lash fill every 2-3 weeks and clean your lashes in between those appointments. Whereas with a lash lift, there’s no at home maintenance and results last 6-8 weeks.

Why do I have to get a fill every 2-3 weeks? Can I wait longer?

You naturally shed anywhere from 2-5 lashes per eye per day. One they shed, new lashes grow in. Around 2 weeks, that means you’ve lost over 40 lashes per eye, leaving them looking less full, with other lashes grown out longer. Once you hit 4 weeks, you’ve maybe got around 25-30% of your lash extensions left, with a lot more natural lashes growing in and taking over. You must have at least 40% of your lash extensions left at your next appointment for it to be considered a fill.

Can I wear mascara on my lash extensions?

Absolutely not. There are mascaras out there that promise they’re safe for lash extensions. They are not. Those companies don’t want to lose the business of extension wearers that are ever growing. The truth is, once that mascara coats both your natural and lash extension lash, it’s going to be impossible to wash 100% of it off. If your natural lash is covered in mascara or other eye makeup, it’s creating a film on the lash making it hard for the adhesive to stick to your lash. Same reason why you clean the surface of your wall before sticking a Command strip hook on it. Even with using a lash cleanser, you are not cleaning all that sticky mascara off. Not to mention, you’re trying to get away from that clumpsy, sticky look - you’re all about the fluff now.

I have very short, sparse eyelashes. Am I a good candidate for lash extensions?

Yes, you can be! The best option for you would be volume lashes. These can be done in a variety of lengths and styles, but it’s best for covering up areas where lashes don’t grow. Classic lashes would just highlight sparse areas and would not give you your desired outcome. Samantha gives complimentary consultations to explain what would be the best options for you.

Loving yourself isn’t vanity, it’s sanity.
